About me:

Hi, my name is Philip (yes, with one 'l'). I was born in Philadelphia. I started programming quite early in life, using qbasic and later visual basic, although I had no idea what I was doing back then. Around the end of high-school I decided to learn C++ with the help of some online tutorials. Eventually, I learned about writting good code from my college Comp Sci 3 professor who was always complaining about how he had to teach in Java instead of C. He was the single biggest influence on my programming style. I did my own research and experiments and discovered what can be done with a little care, worrying about quality instead of rapid deployment. I gave up C++ in favor of pure C. Although I want to master asm, C is currently the best I can do, and I am quite good at it. I love game development, it allows me to tell stories and create something new that hasn't been done before. I am also interested in OS design and driver level devolopment. In my research on efficient software, I found out what can be done with efficient software on the OS level, and it's quite amazing.
